What is the wedding itinerary?

Our wedding will take place at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Shamokin PA on 10.10.26. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 pm sharp, and is expected to last between 60-90 minutes. It is approximately at 45 minute drive to the hotel and/or reception venue. Hotel check-in begins at 3pm and transportation to the reception venue from the hotels will begin around 4pm. Cocktail hour at the reception venue will begin at 4:30pm, followed by the reception which is anticipated to wrap up around 9:30pm.

Are children invited?

Yes, children of any age are invited. Activities -there will be some child-friendly activities around, plus plenty of space to run outside in the grass. Food- kids are welcome to eat from the buffet or a plated meal (which has not yet been determined) can be provided. Please indicate on the RSVP card if a plated kids meal is requested and if a highchair or booster seat is needed. Transportation- the hotel-reception transportation being provided does not have car-seats. Please plan accordingly if traveling with little ones. Hotel- pack-n-plays are available if needed. Please speak with the hotel staff when reserving a room to let them know of your needs.

Can my adult children bring a plus-one?

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding for adult children, as space is limited when big families gather together. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation.

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Pennsylvania weather is similar to Colorado and can be equally unpredictable. The days will be warm and the nights are cool. We will provide sunscreen and bug spray to keep guests comfortable.

What is the best airport to use?

There are multiple options depending on how you prefer to travel, please refer to the Travel (Airports) page for more information.

If we are coming in from out of town, what accommodations are available?

We have reserved a room block at the Genetti Hotel. The cut off date to book your stay in our block is still being determined. The webpage will be updated as soon as we have details, or you can refer to the inner card of the wedding invitation.

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in the hotel block, reach out to the Genetti hotel and mention our wedding anyway- they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block.

Will you be providing transportation for the entire wedding weekend?

We will not be providing guest transportation throughout the entire weekend. The only transportation provided will be Saturday between the hotel and reception venue, to ensure our friends and family can enjoy their night and get safely home. All transportation to the church, to/from airports, to the hotel is to be arranged by the guest. What time do I need to arrive for the ceremony?

There is ample (free) parking across the street in a lot or a handicap accessible (free) parking in the rear of the church. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 pm and we recommend arriving at the church at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to park and find a seat.

Will the wedding/reception be indoors or outdoors?

The wedding will take place inside a traditional Catholic church. The reception will be held at a historic barn. Guest may enjoy cocktail hour inside or outside of the barn. All walkways are paved (unless you want to wander through the grass), there are some stairs to ascend into the barn but an elevator is available for those with mobility concerns.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

There is expected to be a gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception due to travel and photos. Cocktail hour will start at 4:30pm and there will be drinks, small bites and lawn games.

Additional updates or changes that need your attention will appear on our wedding website homepage.

Will you be live streaming your wedding?

Unfortunately, we will not be livestreaming our ceremony for our out of town or overseas guests who are unable to celebrate with us in person.

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Please, feel free to share photos on social media.

Are photos/cell phones allowed during the wedding ceremony?

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding ceremony "unplugged" and turn off your cell phone and refrain form taking any photos or videos during the wedding ceremony. We want out guest to truly be in the moment with us during this special day.

What will the menu be like?

There will be a cocktail hour with various hours d'oeuvres, followed by a served buffet with both beef and chicken, a potato dish and various vegetables. Following dinner, there will be a warm beverage station with hot coco, coffee and hot water with assorted teas, various desserts and also late-night bites of wood fired pizza and soft pretzels. All food will be lemon, peanut and tree nut free. There will be gluten free options and the serving staff will be able to answer questions regarding the ingredients for the dishes they are serving. If you request a vegetarian/vegan or allergen free dish, you will be provided a plated meal that meets your needs. Will there be an open bar?

There will be an open bar for guests who are over 21 to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. Please note that the bar staff may ask for ID for proof of age and are not permitted to pour shots of any nature.

Where should be bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift you can have it delivered to our home at 3563 Wabash Street, Denver CO 80238. A wedding card box will also be available at our reception.

Is there parking available near the reception venue?

Yes, there is free on-site parking in a paved lot at the venue.
